Welcome to EchoDeck (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using EchoDeck (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

EchoDeck is a professional Nostr client designed for power readers, offering features such as:

  • AI-generated content summaries
  • Unlimited RSS feed aggregation
  • NIP-05 identity verification
  • Web-based access provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)

EchoDeck operates on a freemium model, with optional paid subscription plans.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use EchoDeck. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts and Access

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

4. User Content & Nostr Protocol

4.1 Ownership

EchoDeck does not claim ownership of any content you read, publish, or interact with via the Nostr protocol.

  • All Nostr content remains the property of its original authors.
  • EchoDeck acts solely as a client interface and content aggregator.

4.2 Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

  • Content accessed via Nostr is decentralized and not moderated by EchoDeck.
  • EchoDeck is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or availability of third-party or user-generated content.

5. AI Features Disclaimer

EchoDeck provides AI-generated summaries for convenience and informational purposes only.

  • AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete.
  • You should not rely on summaries as professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

6. Subscription, Billing & Payments

6.1 Plans

  • Free Plan: Limited features
  • Pro Plan: $9.90 USD per month, or $99 USD per year (discounted)

Prices may change with prior notice.

6.2 Payments

  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
  • EchoDeck does not store or process your credit card information directly.

6.3 Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard.
  • Upon cancellation, access remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time, unless required by law.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse, scrape, or overload the Service
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or bypass security mechanisms
  • Use EchoDeck for illegal or harmful activities

9. Service Availability

  • EchoDeck is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EchoDeck shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of EchoDeck after changes constitutes acceptance.
